The onboard soundcard on my ASUS A7N8X-X motherboard was not detected by Dapper. Breezy has no problems with this soundcard.

The lspci -vv and lspci -vvn output on breezy should be the same. Since you have a work breezy install, then you can possibly get the output of "cat /proc/asound/modules" too.

Hi,

I have the same problem. Before installing dapper, sound was working fine. I will add two attachments with lspci command output.

As far as I see, soundcard is only av for root...

 Capabilities: <available only to root>

How can I change this??

Thanks in advance,
