The fix has been released only for Lucid.
The CUPS version on Karmic is still 1.4.1-5 with the DUPLEX and other bugs.
Can someone release an update also for Karmic?

nicolaasuni, note that the main task is for Lucid, and there the fix is released. For Karmic there is a subtask which I did not mark as fixed. I will post a Karmic package for testing soon.

OK. Thanks for the explanation, I was confused since the "Lucid" term is not mentioned.

Accepted cups into karmic-proposed, the package will build now and be available in a few hours. Please test and give feedback here. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Thank you in advance!

Any news? activating the single cups package from proposed didn't work for me, and I wouldn't like to load the full list. Thanks!

Romano Giannetti, probably your problem is caused by another bug and not this one.

Can you attach your /usr/lib/cups/filter/cpdftocps file and post the output of the shell command

dpkg -l | grep cups

Can you also provide an error_log as described in the "CUPS error_log" section of

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingPrintingProblems
