Scribus - Changing the Textsize does not work - Kubuntu/Dapper RC

Bug Description

When I try to edit the textsize in the attributesbox (in german: Eingenschaften) in any ways (up or down) this automatically results in the textsize 0,5 pt.
It is irrelevant if I open a new document or try editing older ones (which are build under Breezy). It is also irrelevant if i use the keyboard or mouse to change size.

Thanks for the report. What version of the scribus package do you have installed?

Also, could you provide clear instructions on where to find the attributesbox you refer to? I'm not familiar with the Scribus interface. Thanks.

Scribus 1.2.4.1 is my version.

Draw a textfield, then rightclick it. In the popup that appears you select show attributes (maybe the name slightly differs - I'm using it in geman) it should be the last option.

I don't seem to be able to reproduce this with scribus 1.2.4.1.dfsg-1ubuntu4, locale en-gb.

It can't be the language - can it?
With my scribus it is reproducable, even after reinstall it keeps on.

Now I tried out the LiveCD Ubuntu RC.
And there this bug really is inexistent.
The one that's in there instead already has been reported (#45565).

But -mysteriously- in Kunbuntu it's there.

A while ago we ran into some issues with some vendors patching Qt in ways that subtly broke a lot of things. Some of the more obvious symptoms were PDF file corruption and text boxes behaving insanely. This could explain the distro-specific nature of the issue.

One more time me. It is definetly distro-specific.
In order to be able to work I installed Ubuntu. Now I added the KDE-desktop (same system). The same Scribuspacket installed on this system work well with GNOME but still has these problems under KDE.
