Bug Description

Exaile version: 0.3.0.1 installed from the repositories
Distro: Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala
---
I attach an exaile --debug log, but as far as I've been told by an Exaile dev it is of no use.
A screenshot of what happens would be attached as well.
This bug has been confirmed by an Exaile developer.
---
Explanation:
The collection panel visible in Exaile to the left fails to expand songs belonging to albums with non-Latin characters in their names (that applies to artists, too). For instance, if I type a name of a song from such an album in the search box, the album appears but it is not expanded (the songs are not displayed) and I am not able to add them to my playlist.

Desired behaviour:
Songs from albums) containing non-Latin characters should be displayed in the collection panel; Exaile should not have any problems related to names/tags containing non-Latin characters.

It seems that this bug may be related to similiar encoding problems as mentioned in bugs #267316 and #172953 .

Note that this doesn't necessarily happen for all characters - i have several Japanese artists who expand perfectly. It also doesn't seem to apply when expanding the artist by hand instead of by search (at least for me, can you confirm, Tomasz?). I have tested with the character Ł as in the image here, and can confirm that it does happen for that case in trunk as well.

I can confirm that expanding the song or the artist by hand works well.
I have done more tests and it seems that this bug applies to the following upper-cased characters as well (but it doesn't apply to lower-cased ones): Ą, Ć, Ę, Ń, Ó, Ś, Ż, Ź.
