Bug Description

Binary package hint: tzdata

Vesions of tzdata are:
jaunty-update 2009o+repack-0ubuntu0.9.04.2
karmic 2009o-1ubuntu2

So, when I upgrade from 9.04 to 9.10 tzdata is not upgrading

Yes, and the same problem with the following packages:

sun-java6-bin (all packages):
jaunty: 6-16-0ubuntu1.9.04
karmic: 6-15-1 (karmic)

Just for information - not having problems yet (except that tzdata-java) can't be installed.

In any case the easy resolution is to force the installation of the
distribution's version (I used synaptic to do this, in the Versions tab
of the package properties; I'm sure it can be done at the commandline
but life's too short).

Updates for hardy to karmic uploaded to queue, requiring processing by ubuntu-sru.

Dapper isn't affected, since the tz data is shipped in langpack-locales.
