Bug Description
Ubuntu 9.10 fails to load GNU GRUB version 1.97~beta4 in either generic or recovery mode
I get error no such device: 24aa1599-
This was a fresh install of Karmic 9.10 on my laptop with the ext4 partition
9.04 Jaunty worked prefectly on my Dell Latitude c610 laptop

Re-installed twice now, same result!
