Bug Description

I've tried installing Kubuntu 64bit with Wubi. Have the iso for the desktop version in the same folder, doesn't work. Tried mounting it via Dameon Tools and running it that way, doesn't work. Tried running it via command prompt with --isopath x:\kubuntu-9.10-desktop-amd64.iso, doesn't work. Tried moving the iso to Wubi, doesn't work. I've posted this on Kubuntu forums here http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/index.php?topic=3107344.0 and it seems that someone who has 64bit 9.04 can also not install 9.10 64bit via Wubi. Thanks.

The log seems fine, the ISO you provided had the wrong md5 (an old version or corrupted), so the installer tried to download again via bittorrent and was interrupted.

But that wouldn't explain why Wubi would automatically download the i386 version when i have a x64 computer. Do you need a log with a valid ISO? I also found that it only does this with Kubuntu. Whenever i selected Ubuntu, it would go download the AMD64 version which is the correct one.

Before I got a response to upload my log I found a workaround. One the MD5 that Wubi was running doesn't match the ones for the new Kubuntu release at all. The work around was this.
X:\x\wubi.exe --skipmd5check in the command prompt. Then while it was doing the initial install I copied the 64bit ISO into the install folder and it worked.

Tried the r168 (the link provided by Augustino) and it works.

I feel this should be updated on the Kubuntu website. I have spent an entire day trying to figure it out. another friend of mine just quit trying!

I agree. Wubi-installer.org should be updated as well.

r168 fixed it for me as well.
