this is the error:

(same-gnome:12335): Gtk-WARNING **: This process is currently running setuid or setgid.
This is not a supported use of GTK+. You must create a helper
program instead. For further details, see:

    http://www.gtk.org/setuid.html

Refusing to initialize GTK+.

What were the steps you followed to cause this bug? E.g.
1. Started terminal.
2. Started gamex .

Also, which version of Ubuntu are you using and is it an upgrade?

I installed Dapper by doing an apt-get dist-ugrade from breezy.

Synaptic says:

libgtk2.0-0 version 2.8.7-1

 From uname -a

Linux dapper 2.6.12-9-686-smp #1 SMP Mon Oct 10 13:36:57 BST 2005 i686
GNU/Linux

Anything else I can do ?

This was fixed in version 1:2.13.3+cvs.2005.12.21-0ubuntu1 according to the changelog
