This bug was fixed in the package releaseforge - 1.3-1ubuntu1

releaseforge (1.3-1ubuntu1) karmic; urgency=low

  * Added --install-layout=deb to debian/rules. Corrected chmod rules in
    debian/rules this corrects FTBFS. (LP: #460720)
  * Increased python-support to (>=0.90.5)
