launchpad doesn't ask for release date when adding a new product release

Also confirming this. I added a release after the fact, for historical purposes, and there is no way to set the release date. So at present it looks like 0.10 came out before 0.9.

What is displayed as the "release date" currently is actually the creation date of the record (as you've found out). It would probably be worth adding an actual datereleased field that can be NULL, and is editable by the user.

I absolutely agree on this. I just created a Launchpad record for War§ow and added some old releases for historical reasons. Would be nice to be able to set the real release-date for those. :)

Any progress on this long-standing bug? It can't be too hard.

Edwin Let's estimate the cost of adding a column to ProductRelease and fixing datecreated. Since we are migrating data, I would like to do it all at once rather than revisiting this issue later in the year.
