Bug Description

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

This is on Karmic Beta.

Rhythmbox is not regognizing my Samsung YP-U3 any longer. I'm not able to put Music on it, with Jaunty, it worked. This is, I think, because of using devicekit-disks instead of HAL.

Tell me what Information else is needed, please.

Thank you for your bug report, could you run "udevadm info --export-db" with the device connected to the computer and add the log there?

File is attached. I also have to say that the Player is recognized as Digicam, not as Audioplayer.

This is covered by /lib/udev/rules.d/45-libmtp8.rules already; seems RB doesn't like MTP devices any more? Or at least not this particular one?

So libgphoto2-2's hal fdi rules clearly say which ones are music players and which ones are cameras. The generated udev rules don't do that right now, but need to.

Apologies if this is in the wrong place.

I think this bug is affecting me. My Samsung YP-T10 is being recognised as a camera. Files copied to the device will not play, the feedback is "Not Suppored Format" despite the file being .mp3.

gvfs version is 1.4.1-0ubuntu1
