Can you easily reproduce this crash? I look at the code and didn't see any reason why it would crash.

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
empathy: Depends: libempathy-gtk28 (>= 2.27.92) but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libempathy30 (>= 2.27.92) but it is not going to be installed
Depends: empathy-doc (= 2.27.92-1ubuntu1) but it is not installable

May someone else test and see if that is fixed for them with latest empathy package? Thanks in advance!.

seems to work now, I use an SSL-only server, it worked when ssl was not explicitly enabled but crashed when enabling the ssl-enforce button. Now it works with either configuration

Empathy was loaded and successfully connected. I then went to add a new service, and decided to cancel instead. Moments later the program crashed with this error.
