Bug Description

This patch allows a user to do a check so he can determine wheter or not to upgrade. The patch has been made against the sources of karmic.

This is a better patch, with a similar message if a new release if found.
Indenting is also the same.

Thanks for the bugreport and the patch.

There is a "/usr/lib/update-manager/check-new-release" that can be used for this, but its a good idea to include this functionality into do-release-upgrade too (and provide the former just as a symlink to d-r-u -c).
