I am testing Lucid alpha 2 and this came up for me in GNOME right after I booted the LiveCD.

I achieved this bug by installing kubuntu under wubi on a secondary HD, removing it, and installing ubuntu the same way. It gave me an error about reading a .log file and refused to install in wubi, though it flagged in windows 7 as installed. After removing, I attempted to install normally off USB and recieved this error.
