Bug Description

dvisvgm is a command line utility that converts DVI files, as created by TeX/LaTeX, to SVG. Besides the plain DVI commands it also supports various "special sets" (color, PostScript specials, tpic, ...). If necessary, it also vectorizes all used glyphs of MF bitmap fonts.

Hello,

This is an automatic mail sent to close the RFP you have reported or
are involved with.

Your RFP wnpp bug is being closed because of the following reasons:
- It is, as of today, older than 365 days.
- It hasn't had any activity recently.

As this is an automatic procedure, it could of course have something
wrong and probably it would be closing some bugs that are not
intended by owners and submitters (like you) to be closed, for
example if the RFP is still of your interest, or there has been
some kind of activity around it. In that case, please reopen the
bug, do it, DO IT NOW! (I don't want to be blamed because of
mass closing and not let people know that they can easily reopen
their bugs ;-).

To re-open it, you simply have to mail <email address hidden>
with a body text like this:

reopen 322468
thanks bts

Further comments on the work done in the bug sent to
<email address hidden> would be truly welcomed.
Anyway, if you have any kind of problems when dealing with
the BTS, feel free to contact me and I'd be more than happy to help
you on this: <email address hidden>.

A similar process is being applied to other kind of wnpp bugs.

Thanks for your cooperation,

 -- David Moreno Garza <email address hidden>.

Martin, I have a package (hopefully) ready, and I'm going to upload it for review with the beginning of the development of Ubuntu 10.04 (that is, in November).

There are two files in your sources which are under LGPL 2.1 license, so would you please include a copy of the license text with the next release? I think that the package won't be accepted without that.

Ilya, thank you for packaging dvisvgm. I really appreciate that.
I will upload a point release next week including the the missing LGPL license text.

Thanks again,
Martin

I've uploaded a new minor release that also contains the missing LGPL license text:
http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/dvisvgm/dvisvgm/0.8.5/dvisvgm-0.8.5.tar.gz

I've also installed your package on a x86 Jaunty box and batch-converted a bunch of DVI files. Everything worked fine and I couldn't find any unexpected behavior either. So the package seems to work properly on my Ubuntu system.

As dvisvgm has been included in TeXLive 2011, this depends on bug 712521.

Cannot find the dvisvgm package at the ppa in #6

Is it still available somewhere?

Some Libreoffice extensions now depend on dvisvgm

I am not sure what happened in the meantime, but someone else picked up and packaged dvisvgm for Debian in https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=932968

It was then syncde to Ubuntu and is available in 20.04 https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dvisvgm
