Bug Description
Binary package hint: usplash
In some update between Karmic Alpha 2 and Karmic Alpha 3, usplash started crashing every bootup. The "ubuntu" logo screen stays put but no animation occurs on the progress bar beneath. When the computer is shut down it shows the same logo screen, still no animation.
The problem possibly started occuring when usplash set resolution to the native resolution of the monitor, which is 1024x600 (Acer Aspire One netbook).
I submitted this bug through apport, so hopefully it attaches the backtrace and whatever else it generated...
