Bug Description
Binary package hint: kile
I hope this is the right way to do this. I have never started a bug report before.
I am running Kile 2.0.81 (although the splash screen says 2.1 beta) on Jaunty, 64 bit. Help->About in Kile says it is using KDE 4.2.2, though at the moment I am just using the default Gnome for Ubuntu. I just re-installed from scratch a few days ago. I also installed all of the debugging packages for Kile (I think).
apt-cache policy kile:
kile:

Anway, Kile keeps crashing when I attempt to run latex, either through a custom shortcut (e.g. alt+2) or through the menus. It begins to compile the DVI, then quits and the program closes.
I started Kile from terminal and this is what it said:

---------------
At which point, of course, it crashes, giving this message:
The application Kile (kile) crashed and caused the signal 11 (SIGSEGV).

When I attempt to view the details in the window asking me to submit a bug report, this is what it says:
This backtrace appears to be of no use.
This is probably because your packages are built in a way which prevents creation of proper backtraces, or the stack frame was seriously corrupted in the crash.

I went back through the list of KDE programs in Synaptic and installed all the debug packages that I thought might be useful. Then I tried this again, and got a (hopefully) more useful output.
