Bug Description

I have web java plugin (icedtea-jcjwebplugin) installed in my system (Hardy x86_64 and firefox 3.0.10).
The plugin seems not to work perfectly with some java applet but I haven't found a way to debug it.
Firefox error console seems not to log anything.

Have you some ideas how to debug web java plugin?

Matthias I sent the messages that appear in console when I launch firefox (and the applet) with the command you sayd. In the "launching applet.txt" file I posted the messages that appear when I launch the applet. After the applet was launched I see and error (unable to update device list) and then, on the status bar on the bottom of browser, the message "Applet not started".
When I close firefox other messages appear ("closing firefox.txt" file).

Txs

(tested also with firefox 3.0.11 and icedtea-gcjwebplugin 1.0-0ubuntu8)

I forgot to say to you that the applet is related to an IBM web interface that interacts with one of its Blade Server. With MS IE I have no problem and one of my friend, with Ubuntu 9.04 and java6-plugin, has no problem with this applet. The fact is that in Hardy there is not java6-plugin or java5-plugin available in the repos.

I also forgot to say that the tests were done with Hardy x86_64 bit (I don't know if, for example, java6-plugin is only available to 32 bit platforms)

With last Hardy updates all seems fixed (that is the same "IBM web interface" that didn't work before, as my post on 2009-07-14, now works ok)
