Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
By default in Ubuntu 9.10 gnome-power-
-------
On AC Power : When laptop lid is closed : Suspend
On Battery Power : When laptop lid is closed : Blank screen
-------
I think this is rather unintuitive. It should be set to 'Suspend' in both cases. Or "Blank screen" on AC Power, and "Suspend" on Battery Power.

Thanks for your report and helping make Ubuntu better.
This does seem somewhat inconsistent. This is an Ubuntu specific change, and I don't think it is necessary. Commit 13 of ubuntu packaging: bazaar. launchpad. net/~gnome- power-manager- team/gnome- power/trunk/ revision/ 13

Is this delta (and the other deltas listed there) still required? The best thing to do would be bring this up with the desktop team mailing list:

or #ubuntu-desktop on freenode irc.
