[jaunty] Software Sources panel does not remember auto-update settings after upgrade from hardy

Bug Description

After distribution upgrade from hardy to jaunty (amd64 here), it is no longer possible to save the auto-upgrade/download settings in a persistent manner. Changing the toggles works, but closing an re-opening the dialog yields the old settings without the user's modifications.

Resolution:
Auto-update settings are kept in /etc/apt.conf.d/10periodic.
There was also /etc/apt.conf.d/20auto-upgrades, perhaps a remnant of an older version of the updater's instrumentation.
Removing the 20auto-upgrades file restores the desired behaviour.

Perhaps it would make sense to remove/rename the 20auto-upgrades file in the post-install hook?
