no screen lock (unix_chkpwd seg fault)

Bug Description

Binary package hint: libpam0g

After the screen is locked, no login is possible.
GDM needs to be restarted.

The analysis show the following log messages:

syslog:
May 31 12:22:13 momo kernel: [76053.543623] unix_chkpwd[4830] general protection ip:7f462a79f6b0 sp:7fff329ad700 error:0 in ld-2.9.so[7f462a788000+20000]

auth.log:
May 31 12:22:05 momo xscreensaver[18406]: pam_unix(xscreensaver:auth): unix_chkpwd exited on signal 11

On the machine here the /dev/null was also corrupted.

The problem seems similar to
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=488147
Here it is noted that the problem is fixed with version 1.0.4-4.fc9
