The existance of Launchpad and Ubuntu Bugzilla causes confusion

Users don't know where to file bugs or why there are two places to file bugs for the same thing.

Can Bugzilla and Launchpad be connected?

Presently, it seems that all Evolution bug reports are written into Launchpad in vain since there is no Evolution maintainer in launchpad, and Launchpad Evolution bug reports do not reach the Evolution developers unless they happen to read it by chance.

PS IMHO this bug should be filed against launchpad but I don't know how to do it.

http://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/ is just for searching old Ubuntu bugzilla bugs. Reporting is just on Launchpad.

This bug is from a very long time ago, during the relatively short period when Ubuntu used Bugzilla for main and restricted but Launchpad for universe and multiverse. That has not been the case for a long time, fixing this bug.

There are various efforts to connect Bugzilla and Launchpad, such as those described in gmb's comment in http://lwn.net/SubscriberLink/301106/af2973525c0db774/ - however those are very different from the original topic of this bug and concerns about the technical aspects of those should be raised with the Launchpad team.
