Bug Description

I spotted this on the emacs-devel list, in message http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/emacs-devel/2009-04/msg00621.html :

I suggest a http header/something hidden in html; additionally we can
show something in the ui in a tasteful place.

What about the meta generator tag, like WordPress or MediaWiki use?

(Well, they would format it like "Loggerhead 1.10".)

Should it show the Bazaar, Paste or Python versions as well? (If you're
concerned about the privacy or security implications of that, the Server
header already reads like "PasteWSGIServer/0.5 Python/2.5.2".)

We could also add the Loggerhead version number to the "Loggerhead is a
web-based interface for Bazaar branches" string that's at the bottom of
most pages.

I think this would be good. It could also include the bzrlib version.

Both the footer thing and <meta> tag are done as of r377. See bug #392668 for displaying the revno as well.
