Thank you for reporting this inconsistency. Could you narrow down where in the documentation this is stated?

Hmm. In Jaunty, I'm seeing that ubuntu-restricted-extras does install sun-java6-jre (or is supposed to). Is this a new change for Karmic?

bug #359934 is about the package description being incorrect, if that's what you were relying on

internet/C/web-apps.xml contains the info on ubuntu-restricted-extras, I'm not sure if it's found anywhere else (grep -r ubuntu-restricted-extras */C/*.xml from the ubuntu docs directory will tell you)

Thank you for the info, Dean. That is exactly what I was relying on. I'll get to work fixing this.
