Bug Description

Binary package hint: codeblocks

Installing codeblocks 8.02-0ubuntu2 in jaunty (kubuntu 9.04) without installing xterm leads to an error when trying to run code as codeblocks tries to execute xterm. Build log reports;
"Checking for existence: /home/maelwryth/Programming/test2/hello/bin/Debug/hello
Executing: xterm -T hello -e /usr/bin/cb_console_runner /home/maelwryth/Programming/test2/hello/bin/Debug/hello (in /home/maelwryth/Programming/test2/hello/.)
Process terminated with status 255 (0 minutes, 0 seconds)"

Xterm should be listed as a dependency.

I can't confirm this bug at this moment, but looking at the information posted, this is an implementation issue, CB should not call xterm to run scripts.

This bug was fixed in the package codeblocks - 8.02-0ubuntu3

---------------
codeblocks (8.02-0ubuntu3) jaunty; urgency=low

  * debian/control: Add recommends on xterm. Codeblocks seems to use xterm to
    launch programs; this failed if xterm was not present. (LP: #355524)

Thank you, lian, and to all others. It isn't much of a bug. You made it even less of one. :)
