Bug Description

Please update libmtp 0.2.6 currently in Hardy as many mtp device don't work with players like Rhythmbox.Thanks,Luca

Thank you for helping with making Ubuntu better by reporting this bug. However, upgrading software to newer versions in released versions of Ubuntu requires a special procedure.
Please follow the steps outlined at <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates#Procedure> to request the library to upgraded.

Actually, this is a backport request, so the relevant link is https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuBackports. For library backports, all rdepends will have to be rebuilt against the new version of the library and tested as well.
