xchat "blanks" after losing focus

Bug Description
Binary package hint: xchat
1) The release of Ubuntu you are using.
Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty
installed both ubuntu-desktop and kubuntu-desktop
2) The version of the package you are using.
xchat 2.8.6-2.1ubuntu3
3) What you expected to happen
Everytime xchat loose focus you can still view the chat going on.
4) What happened instead
Everytime xchat looses focus the whole chat get's the grey GTK color.
NOTE: This is while running xchat under KDE 4.2

There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running apport-collect <bug #> and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
