Hi

This problem occurred in 2.1~svn20090217-0ubuntu2 of kile, but was fixed in 2.1~svn20090217-0ubuntu3. However it doesn't take effect until the icon cache is re-generated; maybe a kdm restart is enough, else you need to restart the machine. Can I have you test, that it works after a restart?

Discard my above; thought you meant the kickoff menu. I'll try to figure out, what is wrong with the icons. Thanks for letting us know.

I have upgraded the Kile to 1:2.1~svn20090217-0ubuntu4 and reboot.
However the icons are still missing.

I'm using Kile under Gnome.

You might need to clear the icon cache (even a restart is not guaranteed to do that):
rm /var/tmp/kdecache-$USER/kpc/kde-icon-cache.*

Thanks! It works!

Is this manual clearing of the icon cache going to be a standard procedure for users who are upgrading? If yes, this is not going to be "works-out-of-the-box" TM.

The problem still concerns some icons in the toolbars: "Asymptote", "Square root", "Smart new line".

@Katsudon
If you do a clean upgrade from intrepid, it will not be a problem; and clearing of the icon cache will not be needed.

The problem with the few missing icons still remaining is a upstream issue; and I'm pretty sure they are aware of it. Thanks for noticing.
