Are you still having this problem? And if so are you running KDE? There are some known issues with the KDE support that hopefully will be resolved this next week.

Thanks,

Chris Cheney

Do the slow issues only happen in OpenOffice.org or in other applications as well? There aren't any known issues with OpenOffice.org on Gnome that would cause that kind of problem, there is an issue with KDE that sounds similar but since you aren't running KDE I am not sure what the problem would be.

OK.
At this time (after the latest update) does so with very few documents and web pages. For now, the only enclosed this file, just I have another that does so we'll send.
Usually it does so with large documents.
I have seen that OpenOffice does not use much RAM with small files and with large file. Perhaps is this the problem??

I'm having similar problems since a recent update to OOo3.0.1, on an Ubuntu 8.10 laptop. It seems to be related with scrolling down many pages at once, but it may be casual. About half the time those freezes force me to hard-reboot the system (keyboard and mouse are unresponsive).

I can't reproduce this issue with the film.html file attached. Does this happen for you only with html, or with all html files?
