Long time (5min) opening xml file(294kB) with gedit

Bug Description
I've installed 8.04, and kept it updated. I've a lot of trouble, one or two each day.
Today the problem is that when opening an xml file of size 294kB with gedit it takes 5min.
The file is in attachment.
