Bug Description

Jaunty kernel supports ath5k and ath9k drivers. Booting a LiveCD on my system I noticed that both ath5k (from linux package) and ath_pci (from linux-restricted-modules) modules get loaded. I don't know if that will cause any conflicts, but since the ath5k and ath9k drivers are now supported, the madwifi driver should be dropped from linux-restricted-modules.

If madwifi is present and so is ath5k and ath9k it is a bug. Please drop madwifi.

Uploaded Jaunty module-init-tools_3.3-pre11-4ubuntu19 which black lists ath_pci by default. Use Jockey to select one driver or the other.

Tim Gardner: Thank you; that seems to resolve the initial part of the problem in that UF thread, however I should now file a bug against Jockey because it doesn't show ath5k as an option (in-use or otherwise), just ath_pci...

MadWifi is old and should be avoided.
