Hm, I thought "Darkroom" was the mistake and typo, and it *should* be "DarkRoom"? Anyway, Ken, you seem to have an idea about this, thanks.

Does that only affect upgrades for people who enabled the DarkRoom theme while the package with the broken name was in the archive? Then it wouldn't really be RC, we just tell them to select the theme again.

The correct name is DarkRoom. The added line in the gtkrc are a mistake and have now been removed.

Yes, sorry about that - the debdiff, which looked relevant at the time, really is just a coincidental to the real problem. Though, I am curious - where is the panel_bg.png actually referenced from, if not the gtkrc?

I think this also affects compiz being run with human theme.

If I type "compiz" in a terminal, the following output is shown:
[snip]
Software rasterizer detected, abortingaborting and using fallback: /usr/bin/metacity
/usr/share/themes/Human/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:273: Unable to locate image file in pixmap_path: "panel_bg.png"

Yes, it did also effect the human theme but I also removed that in the Human theme with the last update.

Why the panel background is not activated by default? it could be great to have a panel background that makes the panel look better..
