Bug Description

In the configuration nano's file:

/etc/nanorc

This line is enabled:

set mouse

Previously, some weeks ago, it wasn't enabled since it was never enabled during many years in Debian. I dont know if it's a maintainer's choice or a mistake.

Thanks for the good work Ubuntu team.

This appears to have been fixed in breezy, according to the changelog. Are you seeing this bug on hoary?

Ok, there's no "bug" anymore on a fresh install of breezy or an up-to-date Hoary.

As you reported, a bug fixe has been released.

Changes:
nano (1.3.8-2) unstable; urgency=low

* debian/nanorc: revert mouse enabling, for the "just works" principle expected in nano. Some users don't know that you need to press shift while pasting with mouse mode on (closes: #316869).

Changed in nano:
status: New → Fixed
