Packages fail to upgrade from Hardy to Intrepid

Bug Description

After spending a day and night downloading the updates for Hardy to Intrepid, a bunch of programs still fail to install.
One of the things that cause's me grief is that I have to launch a bunch of programs manually at startup because they don't when there supposed to. Also, my system sometimes freezes, with no warning.

According to Apt, the programs it can't install (becuase it can't configure the packages):

As I attach these, it appears some updates for alot of the packages I have problems with have appeared in update-manager. Here's hoping all or most of them will be fixed.

There are a least 2 issues: one with libghc6-glib-dev and one with rarian-compat .

libghc6-glib-dev is bug 243768 .
rarian-compat is bug 256131 .

I'm not marking this bug as a duplicate of a particular report because there are 2 issues and I'm closing it.
