Bug Description
The former Foomatic-generated PPD files contained a line like
*DefaultResolution: 600dpi
(actual resolution value depending on device class, usually the maximum resolution of the device).
As the HPLIP non-PostScript PPDs do not have a "Resolution" option this line gives a hint about the resolution of the device. At least it helps to tell that it is a 300/600/1200 dpi type and not a 360/720/1440 dpi type. This helps applications and conversion filters to generate or convert bitmaps (for example photos embedded in a text document) without producing interference effects.
