Using KDE 4.1.1 from Kubuntu Members - KDE 4 Repository
System Settings hangs up during configuration of kdm login manager, usually when I trying to set background picture.
System: kubuntu 8.04.1

When starting the file dialog for background image it doesn't find klauncher and starts a new kdeinit session (klauncher, kded4, kdebuildsycoca4, kconf_update) it doesn't get any beyond kconf_update for some reason.
The actual problem is that it can't attach to kded via dbus (which is due to messed up environment stuff we were investigating recently.
The next kdesudo release should take of this.
