Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

we need to update firefox/xulrunner, when upstream makes new bits available (for stability/security reasons).

Further, this FFe should cover the introduction of a branding split package. New binary packages will be:

 firefox-3.0-branding
 webbrowser-3.0-branding
 webbrowser

The branding changes are already on the .head branch and will be uploaded any minute.

The splitted out packages are ok, given that the dependencies are correct.

As for the new upstream version, will that be one of the usual microreleases which mainly fix bugs and just occasionally introduce new features? Or a major new upstream release, like 1.5 -> 2.0?

Since there is no detailled list of new features, there is nothing to approve here.

new upstream release means micro releases (e.g. 3.0.1 -> 3.0.2 -> 3.0.3) ... just what we do for security/stability upgrades.

the new feature here is the branding split ... and hence the introduction of a free branding option (by installing webbrowser)

OK for me then, since we don't have much of a choice for microreleases anyway.
