Bug Description

I added an attachment to bug 2586, and made a comment because I was required to do so. Normally, Malone e-mail notifications include comments, but this one didn't.

Confirming that this bug is still a problem. Emails that list attachments to bugs still don't seem to include the comments that were given with the attachment.

I think it would be better if attachments were something which could be added 0 or more times to each regular comment.

Sometimes I need to attach several attachments to a single bug report. It's annoying to have to visit the bug 3 times and add one attachment each time. I should also be able to add attachments when raising a new bug report. Currently I have to submit a bug report, then revisit the bug several times if I need to add several attachments.

I think this is what bug 40066 is trying to say.

I read bug 40066 as saying that "add comment" and "add attachment" should be nearer each other on the screen.

What I'm trying to say is that "add attachment" should be *inside* "add comment" - adding an attachment is part of adding a comment, and should be possible to do multiple times per comment. It would be quite possible to fix bug 40066 without addressing this point.

I do however agree with your comment on bug 40066 about how gmail has it right.

I know you meant *inside*. :)

You're right; the bug should be explicit about adding multiple
attachments. I've updated the description.
