Here's a patch to fix that makes the script point to the latest (as of today, 2008-08-26) madwifi-hal driver.

After applying the patch, if the driver changes again, just modify the 'madwifi' dictionary on line 61 of ubuntu_eeepc/core.py so that the base_name and release name match the newer driver.

I think in 8.10 the mad-wifi driver will not be necessary any more, because it will use the kernel version 2.6.27 that is able to make the atheros wifi chips work natively.
