Bug Description

If I begin drag and drop and hover for a second over the icon of a hidden window, this window should be raised, as in the standard GNOME-window-list-applet.

Example: with two nautilus windows maximized, I could be able to drag and drop a file from the visible one to the hidden one.

Confirmed, this does not seem to be working in the karmic version of wpa.

As far as I can tell, this is the same issue that's affecting me in my fully up to date Karmic Netbook-Remix. When hovering over the icon of an application, I get a +(plus) sign, but nothing switches. If I drag a file to the home menu (Ubuntu icon) however, it's added to the favourites menu in the home page.

It's also not possible to Alt-Tab to a new application after you've started a drag-drop, so at present, I can only drag-drop between folders in Nautilus, or between tabs in Nautilus. Dragging to another Nautilus tab has the expected effect of refocusing the window.

Can anyone else confirm this?

Jonathon

I can confirm it. How long will it take until the committed fix is released? This makes drag and drop completely unusable on netbooks.

This is still a problem in Lucid, so setting upstream task to Confirmed. It would be good to get it fixed by 10.04 release.
