Print 2 pages on 1 does not work

Bug Description
1) Open a postscript or PDF document in evince
2) Select File -> Print -> Paper -> Layout -> 2 pages to 1
3) Click on Print
The resulting document will still have one page per file.
This happens independently of the printer type (For instance
when printing to postscript file).
It's very lame to provide an option that does not work.
