Bug Description
Most launchpad emails provide a footer explain why it was sent to the recipient, separated from the message body by a line "-- ". But some do not. In the provided example, there is no separator, though "--" occurs in the body text (to indicate an em dash).
Michael Hudson proposed the following answer:
The KeyboardInterrupt is a bit misleading. It means that the mirroring
gave no indication of progress for some interval (15 minutes currently I
think).
We detect progress by hooking into bzr's progress bar stuff and I think
it's a bit of a known bug that branching pack branches can not update
the progress bar even when the branching is progressing just fine, but I
have to admit I thought we'd balanced the time out and bzr's behaviour
about right by now. Apparently not.
That you can't see when a mirror attempt is in progress sounds like a
fixable (and separate) problem -- can you file a bug for that?

Indeed, this is very strange. answers. launchpad. dev/firefox/ +question/ 4
Steps to reproduce:
1. Logged in as Sample Person, open http://
2. Subscribe to that question
3. Add a comment: "foo bar -- foo"
4. Add another comment: "foo bar"
What happens:
The email sent on step 3 is similar to the one described in this bug report, the footer has no "--" separator.
The email sent on step 4 looks right, with a "--" separating the body from the signature.
What should happen:
Both emails should look like the email sent on step 4.
