Bug Description
Binary package hint: nvidia-glx-new
On an up-to date (8.04 Hardy) Kubuntu machine with compiz running, xfig popping up a menu causes the X server to crash with the following log:
Backtrace:
0: /usr/bin/
1: [0xb7fbb420]
2: /usr/lib/
3: /usr/lib/
4: /usr/lib/
Fatal server error:
Caught signal 11. Server aborting
It is not completely deterministic, sometimes xfig's menus work fine, but in general it is enough to work on it for several minutes to experience a crash.
The problem does not occur with kwin window manager, so I guess it is nvidia/compiz related.
This bug might be actually related to #226683 (judging by the syslog similarities), but I did not experience any instability apart from the above mentioned xfig issue.
