Update-notification on every boot

Bug Description

I'm running Ubuntu 5.10 since beta2 was released. Currently, apt-get upgrade
doesn't show me any updates, still I get a reminder on every boot (little
lightbulb in the notification area) that there has been a new kernel installed
and I'm advised to reboot.
There definitly hasn't been installed a new kernel, but this notification comes
back every time.

Installing update-notifier 0.40.13.1 fixed the problem for me, thanks for the
