Bug Description
fontconfig seems to ignore bitmapped fonts in the system (/usr/share/
even if one enable bitmapped fonts via dpkg-reconfigure fontconfig. So,
gnome-terminal and the font preferences of Gnome don't let choose fonts like
10x20 or neep etc...
Maybe is needed to add /usr/share/

(In reply to comment #0) X11/fonts) X11/fonts in /etc/fonts/ fonts.conf?

/etc/fonts/ fonts.conf consider as a font's directory /usr/X11R6/ lib/X11/ fonts. X11/fonts inside /etc/fonts/ fonts.conf.
It seems to be old and not used now (in my system there's no font inside it). So
maybe it should be changed with /usr/share/
