ndiswrapper package absent on install CD

This is not so much a bug as it is a missing feature.

I was able to load ndiswrapper module (great! I couldn't do that with Warty), but the ndiswrapper package was not on the install CD so I couldn't install the appropriate drivers from CD.

I think that the package should be available on the installation CD so that users don't have to wire their laptops (I only have wifi in my apartment) in order to install Ubuntu.
