Bug Description

Amd 64 sys, with serail ata, ubuntu 5.04-i386(same for amd64), Install fails at
"Install the base system" step. Virtual terminal 3 shows failure upon runing
insmod /lib/modules/2.6.10-5-386/kernel/drivers/scsi/sr_mod.ko
File descriptor 3 left open
File descriptor 4 left open
File descriptor 5 left open
File descriptor 6 left open
  No matching phuysical volumes found
[repeat of the 5 lines above]
Reading all physical volumes. This may take a while ...

This failure hapenned with either the i386 install iso or the amd64 install. In
both cases the install window said to try burning the iso at a slower speed.
This is not the problem; I used the i386 cd to install ubuntu 5.04 on a
different (Duron) machine without any errors.

Let me know if I can provide you with any additional information

Mark bug as closed.
To my surprise, as slower cd burn worked better.
Threre is a strange, non random, error that happens at faster burn rates.
My apologies.
