Bug Description

Binary package hint: aptoncd

TEST CASE:

This is because of dbus 1.1.20 and some security/interface changes. I'll prepare a fix and send it upstream.

yes but the upstream version didn't make it into ardy, so the patch is still up in the air. i suppose it is safe to upgrade AptonCD to the new upstream version (there are no major dependencies changes), this is important seing that AptonCD is useless without its restore functionality

Hi Youssef,

I agree the package must be updated in hard, indeed.
But the restore functionality is definitively not essential for using aptoncd. Once you have created the installation disc you can use it as any other APT-compatible media, you just put it into the CD/DVD-ROM drive and Ubuntu is going to ask you if you want to add the disc as an APT source, and by doing so you can install any package from the disc just using Synaptic/Add-Remove Applications/Update-Manager/apt-get/aptitude/adept or any other application manager compatible with the APT.

But please, be patient, an updated package is comming.

Thanks for your interest in aptoncd.
Regards.

For now, a package that fixes this bug is available here:
http://www.cypherbios.org/aptoncd/packages/aptoncd_0.1.98-1ubuntu1/binary/aptoncd_0.1.98-1ubuntu1_all.deb

The hardy's version update is already on the way.

Cannot install the updated version of aptoncd 0.1.98-0ubuntu1.1 in Hardy from Synaptic. When I tried to mark the package for upgrade received the following error

aptoncd:
Depends: python-central (>=0.6.7) but 0.6.5ubuntu1 is to be installed

when I go to python-central the version installed and available is 0.6.5ubuntu1.

How to resolve this ??
