Binary package hint: apt

apt-0.7.9ubuntu12 on hardy

In /usr/share/doc/apt/examples/sources.list the example contains a example sources.list for gutsy. This wouldn't be too bad if it weren't for the fact that when you double click on it, it opens it with the 'software_sources' package and asks you whether you want to add them to your sources.list. This may not be that handy for beginning users, so it may be good to have that file generated during installation depending on which release of Ubuntu is being run, ie on hardy have a hardy sources.list and on gutsy a gutsy one.

/usr/share/doc/apt/examples/sources.list is a part of the apt package, not ubuntu-docs. Reverting.
