Bug Description

Binary package hint: dnsmasq

Impossible to install package dnsmasq.

dnsmasq 2.40-1ubuntu2 depends on dnsmasq-base, but dnsmasq-base conflicts with dnsmasq (< 2.41).

This create an "infinite" loop which renders dnsmasq uninstallable.

I confirm this.

It appears that someone did a hasty copy/paste from a newer version of the package at Debian, rather than bother with the procedure to get the whole new release into Ubuntu.

Not putting the new release into Ubuntu was very much on purpose. However, the hasty copy/paste was clearly a mistake. Will upload a fix right away.
